George Deans Obituary


Eddie Deans NORFOLK - George "Eddie" Edward Deans, 66, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, in a local hospital. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of the late Virginia Ollie Miller Deans and George Phillip Deans. Eddie retired as manager of Ray's Body Shop after more than 20 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Craft Deans; a daughter, Debbie D. Wise and her husband Joe; two sons, Glenn E. Deans and his wife Dee Dee, and Steve R. Deans and his wife Tina, all of Norfolk; a sister, Joy D. Slade of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Brittany, Nicholas, Holly, Tiffany and Katelyn. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Cox Funeral Home. The family will be in the chapel an hour before the service for a visitation time with friends. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family through www.dmvobits.com/cox.
