Onika Elliott Obituary
Onika M. Elliott PORTSMOUTH - Onika Marshae' Elliott, 17, of the 5000 block of N. Reese Drive, died Oct. 6, 2008, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born in Portsmouth, Onika was a junior at Churchland High School and fellowshipped at Fullness of the Spirit, Chesapeake. Survivors include her parents, Michale Denise Elliott and James Lee Elliott Jr.; father, Troy Boone Jr.; and numerous other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Grove Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by Dr. Melvin O. Marriner. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will be at her aunt Marsha Pitchford's residence, 421 Broad St., Portsmouth, Apt. 1. Fisher Funeral Home, 1520 Effingham St., Portsmouth, is in charge.

Dearest Onika,
We knew you when you were a baby and a toddler. As a delightful 3 year-old you and your mom Michale shared in one of the most momentous days in our lives-the day our family was created on August 21, 1993. Though it is tragically sad you did not meet our daughters Eleni and Melena, I pray they will have that child-like energy and remain as you are unblemished. You are perfection now and your mom will need you to be her angel in heaven, just as you were her angel on earth.

Dear family of Onika. I remember when her and her brother use to come over to my house and play with my daughters, Onika always thought she was the mother in the group. I never seen a time when she didn't have a smile on her face. She was always smiling and still this day she is still smiling down on all of us.
