Dear Goodson family,

I just heard about your mother's going to glory from my dad who lives in Virginia. He knew how dear she was to me. When I was a teenager, she was my Sunday School teacher at Grace Baptist Church. She gave me such an enthusiasm for reading the Word especially in her knowledge of the children of Israel. I grew in leaps and bounds having been one of her students. One of my fondest memories was a pajama party at your home with out entire class. She stayed right with us and had as much fun as we all did. I can only say that she was quite a lady and I shall never forget her! My life has been enriched, embellished and empowered by having known this remarkable woman of God.

Blessings,
Linda (Johnson) Mann

We will never forget the kindness of Grandma Martha. She was not one to judge, but one to embrace. She saw the good in everyone and rarely dwelled on the bad. I know for a fact that she is in heaven with several gold stars on her crown.
We will surely miss that great woman. Our prayers and thoughts will remain with each of you forever.
Love,
Jim and Janet

I was so sorry to read about Mrs. Goodson's passing. My parents, Oliver & Jane Rooks, were AAA members of hers and considered her a friend. I remember her coming to visit from time to time and she was such a wonderful, outgoing, vivacious person. She loved calling me by my nickname "Poopsie"! I just remember I liked her very much and I am sure she will be greatly missed. My sincerest condolences to the Goodson famly.
