CarolTane Guard-Allen Obituary


CarolTane Guard-Allen VIRGINIA BEACH - CarolTane V. Guard-Allen, 56, passed away peacefully Oct. 8, 2008, at her home. "Misty," as she was known to her friends, was an accomplished artist with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts with honors from Eastern Michigan University. A participant in the National Veterans Administration Wheelchair Games, she medaled in several events, her favorite being air rifle Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband, William R. Allen Jr.; daughter, Victoria Dimaiuat and husband Albert; two sons, Benjamin Link-Schreffler and Billy "BJ" Allen; mother, Florence Schneider; two sisters, Sharon Belongeaw and Dolly Titus; a brother, Richard Schneider; and grandchildren, Alexander, Anthony, Allissia and Kailet. A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sandbridge Ward, with Bishop Mechling officiating. Burial will follow at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
