Jose Receno Obituary


Jose Malleta Receno VIRGINIA BEACH - Jose Malleta Receno, 78, passed away Oct. 11, 2008, at his home. Jose was formerly an accountant at Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, Philippines. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Leticia L. Receno; two daughters, Myrna Receno Nario and husband Quintin and Kathryn L. Receno; a son, Jose L. Receno Jr., all of Virginia Beach; a sister, Primitiva R. Macasaet of the Philippines; a brother, Gregorio M. Receno of Fontana, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Krisjantzen R. Nario of California, Kurt R. Nario and Kimberly R. Nario, both of Virginia Beach, Jerico D. Receno and Jemary D. Receno of the Philippines. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Luke Catholic Church, 2304 Salem Road, Virginia Beach, with Father Salvador Anonuevo officiating. Burial will follow at Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Luke Catholic Church, Building Fund. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
