Alfred Seifried Obituary


Alfred Seifried VIRGINIA BEACH - Alfred Seifried, 87, died in his home Oct. 10, 2008. He was born in Kearny, N.J., Dec. 30, 1920. He joined the Coast Guard in 1941 and served in World War II on the APA 132 Hugh L. Scott in both the European and Pacific theaters of war. He became a regional vice president for Overseas Service Corporation, selling to commissaries and exchanges worldwide. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Pauline. He is survived by his daughter, Judi Tull and her husband George Hillow of Newport News and his grandson, Simon "Zakk" Tull of Tulsa, Okla. He will be fondly remembered by his dear friend, Dolores Sabisky, and her family, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, neighbors and fellow members at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. The family will receive visitors at Hollomon-Brown, Lynnhaven Chapel, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the same location Wednesday at 11 a.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
