Eunice Hyman Obituary


Eunice Irene Hyman NORFOLK - Eunice Irene Hyman, 72, lovingly known as "Miss Piggy," of the 1000 block of Mission St., died Oct. 9, 2008. Eunice was born Nov. 10, 1935, in Maysville, N.C. She was the daughter of the late William and Effie Fonville. She was predeceased by her husband, Haynes E. Hyman Sr., as well as her two sisters and one brother. She is survived by five sons, Louis Earl White, Haynes E. Hyman Jr., Eddie Hyman, Dwayne Hyman and Richard Javon Hyman, all of Norfolk; three daughters, Cheyenne Bailey (Thomas) of Suffolk, Debora V. Mason and Annette L. Hyman-Studivant (Kenneth) of Chesapeake; one sister, Ruby L. Whitaker of Bridgeton, N.J.; and one stepsister, Carrie Massey of Virginia Beach; one stepbrother, Jimmie Lee Jones of Maysville, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A wake service will be held in the chapel of Graves Funeral Home Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held in the funeral home's chapel Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. www.gravesfuneralhomeinc.com.
