J.T. Robertson Jr. PORTSMOUTH - Junie Thomas "J.T." Robertson Jr., 80, passed away Oct. 17, 2008, in Bon Secours Maryview Medical from cardiac complications. J.T. spent his life doing what he loved, interacting with people. He had served his country in the Coast Guard and the Air Force when called to duty. He was a member of the Ambassador Club of Portsmouth since 1954 and was a former member of the Elizabeth Manor Golf Club. He lived life to the fullest and that is what garnered him with so many friends that he cherished. J.T. always had a smile on his face, the ability to light up a room and the best joke to share. He lived life as if every day was his last and Friday was that day. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Fritsch Robertson. He is also survived by his loving son, Dr. Charles T. "Chuck" Robertson; daughter-in-law, Diane Eliason Robertson; and two beloved grandsons, Erik Robertson and Ethan Robertson, all of Boca Raton, Fla.; Jackie's loving sister, Gail Fritsch Wilkinson and her family; special cousins, Jenny Lou Currin and Jean T. Mobley; and a multitude of dear friends. Friends may join the family Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth. A public memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ambassador Club of Portsmouth, immediately followed by burial in Olive Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Ambassador Club, 364 Peninsula Ave., Portsmouth, VA 23704.
