Virginia's life was full of loving deeds, and she was especially thoughtful of others' special needs. As quoted from her high school yearbook, "she is a friend to all of us," Virginia continued to live her life being a friend to all. She was a mom to many! Virginia was proud to be employed as a cashier at the Judeo-Christian Outreach Thrift Store. She loved her job, her coworkers, and customers; they were family to her. Her children would like to thank everyone at the thrift store for being a friend to mom. Also, with much gratitude, thank you to the staff of Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital for their professional and loving care to our mother. A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. J. Tracy Bradshaw today at 3 p.m. in Altmeyer Funeral Home - Maestas Chapel, 1801 Baltic Ave., Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Virginia Sullivan to the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center, P.O. Box 831, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. Virginia touched my life and I will miss her.

Working with Virginia while serving my hours of community service at Judo Christian Outreach Thrift Store was one of my most humbling experiences life had to offer me. I admire her strength, and love for life and family and do the right things. I went by Judo this last Saturday Nov 8, 2008 to pay her a visit and was truly sadden to hear of her passing one week to the day I lost my father whom I spoke regularly of to Virginia. I will truly miss them both and hold a special place in my heart for her as well as my dad. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. She was a beautiful women. I too will miss talking with her.
