John Pitts Obituary
John Mercer Pitts Jr. SUFFOLK - John Mercer Pitts Jr., 67, died Oct. 18, 2008. A native of Supply, Va., he was the son of the late John Mercer Pitts Sr. and Sallie Carter Pitts. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Tina M. Pitts. John was a driver for Webb's Transportation. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Tina M. Pitts of Suffolk; daughters, Teresa A. Pitts of Carrollton and Gina L. Crocker of Suffolk; son, John M. Pitts III of Suffolk; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Goodie, Imogene and Nellie; and brother, Larry. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with Chaplain Pete Bowman officiating. Burial will be in the Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
