Gwendolyn Johnson-Doby Obituary
Gwendolyn Johnson-Doby VIRGINIA BEACH - Gwendolyn O. Johnson-Doby, 55, of the 700 block of Crystal Springs Court, passed from this life Oct. 19, 2008. She is survived by her parents, Vashti and Major Washington; three daughters, Katrina Doby, Stacie (William) of Virginia Beach and Denise Wooten (Reggie) of Hampton, Ga.; one son, Leonard Doby of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Larry Johnson of Kansas and Kevin Washington (Theresa) of Charlotte, N.C. She will be deeply missed by 12 grandchildren and a lifetime friend, Mary Mullen; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. A homegoing service will be held Friday at noon in New Calvary Baptist Church, 800 E. Virginia Beach, Norfolk. A period of remembrance and visitation with the family will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the E. Andre Brown Funeral Establishment, 3336 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, (757) 468-2330.
