John Carpenter Obituary


John W. Carpenter Jr. CHESAPEAKE - The Lord whispered, "Come with me." John William Carpenter Jr., 55, passed in his Chesapeake home Oct. 22, 2008, with his lifelong love, Jane Burbage, by his side. He was predeceased by his mother, Fannie Carpenter; father, John W. Carpenter Sr.; and son, Mickey W. Carpenter. Survivors include his daughter, Letha Beth Galindo and her husband Enrique of Chesapeake; his daughter, Crystal Lynn Carpenter of Chesapeake; five children he loved as his own, Melissa Luddy and husband Michael, Zane Burbage and wife Nikki, Jennifer Wheelbarger, Shane Love and wife Amanda and Heather Frango; 14 grandchildren; his twin sister Joan "Sissy" Trace and husband Gordy; two brothers, Gene Keene and wife Margaret and John Eanes. A service will be held in his honor at 11 a.m. Saturday in Agape Ministries, officiated by the Rev. Pete Taylor. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for all the time devoted to the care of a man we all loved and will miss dearly. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Cancer Society or Agape Ministries, Bainbridge Blvd., Chesapeake.
