Nellie Byrum Obituary
Nellie S. Byrum WINDSOR - Nellie Pearl Sutphin Byrum, born Aug. 28, 1934, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 22, 2008. Born in Johnson City, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William L. and Nellie M. Sutphin. Nellie was a member of Maranatha Church of Windsor, Va. She loved her church, family and neighbors. Her hobbies were flowers and birds. Survivors include her husband, Hubert T. Byrum Sr.; two sons and daughter-in-law, Hubert T. Byrum Jr. and Patricia N. Byrum, Michael J. Byrum, all of Windsor; grandchildren, Dawn, Hubert III and Patricia Byrum; sister, Elsie Heaton of Bristol, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Jean Sutphin of Suffolk; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held today at 1 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with Dr. Clyde Alderman officiating. Parr Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge.
