Crystal Snody Obituary


Crystal Leigh Snody HAMPTON - Crystal was born April 17, 1986, in Myrtle Beach, S.C. "The Goose" made herself the life of the party by living her life the way she wanted it, despite all she had to deal with; she was freed of the pains and troubles of cystic fibrosis Oct. 22, 2008. Crystal was a senior at Old Dominion University pursuing a degree in criminal justice and psychology. She joins her grandfather Myron Snody and grandfather and grandmother, Robert and Meta Cooper and her CF friend, Katie in silent rest. She is survived by her loving parents, Chester and Debbie; grandmother, Roseann Snody of Wrightstown, N.J.; Aunt Clara, Uncle Wayne and cousin Zachery Rose of New Egypt, N.J.; Aunt Sharon Cooper of Toms River, N.J.; Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Jami Cooper of Toms River; Uncle David Snody of Wrightstown, N.J.; Uncle Douglas Snody and cousin Shebly Kisner of Wrightstown, N.J.; Uncle Chuck and cousin Tyler Faison of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many, many friends. Friends are encouraged to visit www.mem.com to share words of comfort with the family. Friends are invited to visit today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, VA 23666, where a celebration of Crystal's life will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Wishing Star Foundation, www.wishingstar.org or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, www.cff.org, or you might become an organ donor to honor her goal of having everyone be one.
