Christine Knutson Obituary


Christine Mary Knutson CHESAPEAKE - In loving memory. Christine Mary Knutson, 49, passed away peacefully surrounded by her devoted and loving family Oct. 23, 2008, in her home. Chrissy was raised in Lynnfield, Mass., and graduated from North Shore Community College with a degree in computer programming. She spent many years working and living around the world. Chrissy and her husband Rick lived in Thule, Greenland, Colorado, Alaska and Virginia. Chesapeake is where they finally called home and raised their family. Chrissy is survived by her loving husband, Richard Allen, a daughter, Allison Anne and a son, Ryan Nicklaus, all of Chesapeake. Chrissy is also survived by her adoring parents, Felix and Mary DiPietro of Lynnfield, Mass.; her sisters, Valerie Piecuch, Carol Masse and Adrienne Gover; and her brother, Richard DiPietro; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Diane Lamusta. Chrissy's ability to "Cheer Up" the world was felt by all who knew her. Chrissy will be greatly missed by her family, friends and everyone she met in her journey through life. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. A private family memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Chrissy Fund-Wigs For Women Experiencing Hair Loss due to Chemotherapy. This fund is being established by her family at this time. Donations may be made out to her husband Richard Knutson and mailed to P.O. Box 15468, Chesapeake, VA 23328. The family will be ever grateful for your contribution to keep Chrissy's memory alive.
