Lois Washburn Obituary
Lois R. Washburn VIRGINIA BEACH - Lois Ruth Washburn passed away Oct. 22, 2008, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Loman, Minn., to the late Jacob and Eva Wirkkula. Lois was raised in St. Paul, Minn., where she graduated from Central High School. She was of the Lutheran faith. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, George W. Washburn; sons, Jeffrey J. Beaton, John B. Beaton and wife Gwyneth, Joseph M. Beaton and wife Linda and Jason B. Beaton and wife Michelle; sisters, Erma Stanz and Gayle Dalager; seven grandchildren, Stacey, Ryan, Michael, Jacob, Courtney, Cassandra and Luke Beaton; and three nephews, Paul Stanz, Tim Stanz and Keith Sloan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. You may offer condolences to the family at www.mem.com.
