Florence Badger Obituary


Florence E. Badger NORFOLK - Florence E. Badger, 72, passed away at home Oct. 24, 2008. She was born June 23, 1936, in Camden, N.J. Mrs. Badger graduated from Moorestown High School with a passion for art. She married Patrick M. Badger Jr. in 1955 and they moved to Norfolk where they had two sons. She volunteered more than 40 years of her life to many different organizations, such as The Navy Relief, The Officer's Wives Club and coaching the Little Creek Jr. Gators bowling league, as well as organizing City and State bowling tournaments. She won many awards in her lifetime and made many close friends. In 1991, she and husband Pat moved to Florida and began playing golf and making new friends. She stayed busy with her art work and displayed it at Sea Grape Gallery along with many other artists. She is survived by her son, Rick Badger of Punta Gorda, Fla.; brother, Gordon Cooper of Pace, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Patrick M. Badger Jr. and son, Thomas R. Badger. She was a wonderful person, and has many devoted friends... and will be greatly missed. Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
