Leroy Dull Obituary


Leroy Dull VIRGINIA BEACH - Leroy Dull, 84, of the 5500 block of Stewart Drive, passed away Oct. 26, 2008, at a local hospital. Born in Clifton Forge, Va., Leroy was a quality assurance specialist with NADEP. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of VFW Post 4809. He was also an active member of Kempsville Baptist Church for 46 years and served on the board of Deacons. He is survived by his wife, Treevin H. Dull of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Karen Meade and husband Bill of Smithfield; a son, Kevin A. Dull of St. Augustine, Fla.; three grandchildren, Suzanne Matyiko of St. Louis, Lisa Deaver of Virginia Beach and Kristin Jackson of Chesapeake; seven great-grandchildren, Katelynn Jackson, Jessica and Jacob Matyiko, Logan, Kylee, Bennett and Owen Deaver; a sister, Dreama Nair of Virginia Beach. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, with the Rev. A. Kenneth Carlton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
