Albert Omahen Obituary


Albert J. Omahen VIRGINIA BEACH - Albert J. Omahen, 90, passed away Oct. 24, 2008, with his family at his side. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps after 23 years of honorable and faithful service to his country and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Surviving are his sons, Dan A. Omahen of Norfolk and Tommy F. Omahen of Reno, Nev.; and his daughters, Gail A. Farmer of Chesapeake and Mary Van Wroten of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.
