Florence B. Sellers NORFOLK - Florence Jane Bradshaw Sellers, 89, passed away Oct. 27, 2008, in her residence. Born in Edenton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Ila Byrum Bradshaw and Darden H. Bradshaw and was the widow of Dr. John Greaton Sellers. She was a graduate of Maury High School, Class of 1937 and a graduate of Sullins College, Class of 1939. She was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Church, Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, Colony Point Circle of the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, past president of the Elizabeth River Women's Club, and past president of the Women's Auxiliary of the Norfolk Academy Medical Society. Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Janie Sellers Tenney and her husband Harry of Norfolk; two sons, Dr. John G. Sellers Jr. and his wife Diane of Fairfax, Va., and James H. Sellers and his wife Wanda of Virginia Beach; a daughter- in-law, Linda Sellers of Houston, Texas; a brother, Thomas Bradshaw and his wife Claudia of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Bradshaw Sellers. The family would like to thank Florence's caregivers, Mirna, Donna, and Nilda, who took such wonderful care of her for the past five years. A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Tim Dixon. Memorial contributions may be made to Talbot Park Baptist Church, 6919 Granby St., Norfolk, VA 23505 or to a charity of the donor's choice. H.D.
