Helen Harris Obituary


Helen Z. Harris VALENTINES - Mrs. Helen Z. Harris, 89, died Oct. 27, 2008. She is survived by her children, Steve Harris of Sharpsburg, Md., Mike and Netsa Harris of Mechanicsville, Va., and Billy and Susan Harris of Cary, N.C. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Zebertavage of Reading, Pa.; and two sisters, Anne Panchari of Seltzer, Pa., and Margaret Lengle of Reading. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, William G. "Bill" Harris. A graveside funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Ken Thrasher in Prospect United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends today from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Farrar Funeral Home in South Hill. Condolences can be emailed to [email protected].

I remember Helen and Bill well from First Friends Church in Portsmouth, VA. They both were wonderful people and are now resting safely in God's hands.
