Norma Krahenbill Obituary


Norma L. Krahenbill VIRGINIA BEACH - Norma Leigh Krahenbill, 73, ascended to heaven Oct. 31, 2008. She was born Dec. 28, 1934, in Princess Anne County to the late Melvin "Peck" and Thelma B. Gilbert. Norma was a league and tournament bowler and loved playing cards, dominoes and traveling. She loved garage sales and was the queen of coupon clipping. She attended Beach Lawn Baptist Church. Norma was a very simple lady with a strong faith. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Floyd S. Krahenbill. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Theresa Besch of Chesapeake and Gary and Michael Krahenbill; sister, Brenda Barefield; and brother, Douglas Gilbert, all of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and her loyal friend, June Love Harris. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Princess Anne Memorial Park, 1110 N. Great Neck Road, in Virginia Beach, by the Chaplain Victor M. Philip. Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Flowers are welcome. Contributions may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. "June love, forever our love will be with you, The Girls."
