William Lane Obituary
William H. Lane DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - William Henry Lane, 83, passed away Oct. 28, 2008. He was born Aug. 20, 1925, in South Norfolk, Va., and was a disabled veteran in the U.S. Army having fought in World War II, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He retired from U.S. civil service, where he worked for 34 years in the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth. He is survived by his wife, Theresa M. Lane and sons, Robert R. Lane of Powell, Ohio, and Neal Lane of Delray Beach; and grandchildren, Ashley Lane Setzer of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Shelley Elizabeth Lane of Charleston, S.C. Those wishing to make a donation, in lieu of flowers, may do so to Hospice of Palm Beach County Inc., Charles W. Gerstenberg Hospice Center, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407-2387.
