Lula Myers Obituary


Lula B. White Myers CHESAPEAKE - Lula B. White Myers, 73, of the 1200 block of Anne Ave., went to be with the Lord Nov. 3, 2008. A native of Pitt County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Becton and Luberta Moore Briley and the wife of the late Louie E. White. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a former clerk with Portlock Pharmacy and Liberty Pharmacy of Chesapeake. Surviving are two daughters, Kathy L. Mahone and Bonny S. Tarkington and her husband James; one son, Michael R. White and his wife Karen, all of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren, Kristen Prescott, Ashly Creef, Joshua Tarkington and his wife Lindsay, Tyler Tarkington, Aaron White, Jesse White, and Michelle White; one great granddaughter, Kara Prescott; four sisters; four brothers; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother. A funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Riddle and the Rev. Willis Switzer officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the wonderful care given to their mother by the Odyssey Hospice Group and her personal caregivers.
