Norma Ames Obituary


Norma W. Ames PALM HARBOR, Fla. - Norma Williams Ames, 80, died Nov. 7, 2008. She was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Capeville, Va. She was a Methodist. Norma graduated from Maury High School in the Class of 1946. Even so, she loved going to class reunions for Oceana High School with her husband. She retired from General Motors as an insurance underwriter. Norma is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, William; her brothers, William E. Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and T.C. Williams of Virginia Beach; her sister, Barbara W. Hodan of Fords, N.J.; her special brother-in-law, Thomas C. Sawyer of Lady Lake, Fla.; three nieces and five nephews. Her cremains will be inurned at Rosewood Memorial Park in Virginia Beach at a later time. There will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Curlew Hills Funeral Home is in charge. www.curlewhills.com.
