Louis Gimenez

Louis J. Gimenez VIRGINIA BEACH - Louis Joseph Gimenez, 80, of the 5900 block of Edgelake Drive, went to be with the Lord Nov. 12, 2008. A native of New York City, he was the son of the late John and Estrella Disdier Gimenez and a member of Rock Church. An Army veteran, he retired as a dispatcher with New York City Transit Authority after 24 years of service. Surviving are his loving wife, Emerita Gimenez; a son, Louis D. Gimenex of Queens, N.Y.; four daughters, Elizabeth A. Gimenez-Garcia, Helen A. Velez and Louise T. Gimenez, all of Virginia Beach, and Roseanne Gimenez of Richmond; two stepsons, Raphael Santiago of Williamsburg and Edward Santiago of Long Island, N.Y.; three stepdaughters, Maritza Santiago and Maribell Santiago, both of Virginia Beach and Rosemary DelRosario of Memphis, Tenn.; and 12 grandchildren. A funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Rock Church with Pastor David Gimenez officiating. Burial will be in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
