Jackie Coy Obituary


Jackie L. Coy PORTSMOUTH - Jackie Leellyn Jones Coy went to be with the Lord Nov. 15, 2008, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Jackie was predeceased by her father, Raymond Jones; a brother, Carl "Bubba" Jones and a great-grandson, Skylar Young. Jackie is survived by her husband, Ernest Coy; mother, Ella Mae Crank Jones; a brother, Raygene Jones; sisters, Joanne Griggs and Connie Dalhaus; her children, Tammy Chiles, Zondra Rallo and Delbert Sledge Jr.; grandchildren, Trisha, Rebekkah and Michael Young, Lindsay and Carver Hutcherson, Delbert III, Delsha and Dahlton Sledge; and great-granddaughter, Tiara Young. She will also be greatly missed by grandnieces and nephews, Kellen, Caitlin, Ashleigh, Alexander, Sarah and Seth Berry; her good friend, "Papa" Ernie Reed; among many other family and friends. Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. A reception for family and friends will follow at Jon and Julia Berry's home. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of Jackie Coy. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.

I love you grandma and i am glad you aren't suffering anymore.I will miss the letters you wrote us and the cards you sent to us every holiday.I am most happy that i got to say good bye to you and see you before this tragedy.You will always be in my heart grandma and you will always be thought of.
