Thomas Jennings Obituary


Thomas R. Jennings CHESAPEAKE - Tom Jennings, 75, departed this world Nov. 16, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He and his family moved to Chesapeake in 1970. He worked at the Weyerhauser Paneling plant in Chesapeake for 26 years. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane and children, Deborah of Virginia Beach, Robert (wife Chris) of Chesapeake, Edward (wife Lisa) of Fairfax and Carol (husband Peyton) of Sterling Va.; and eight grandchildren. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. A graveside service will be held at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens at 3 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Rick Gates officiating. There will be a reception following at Grace Lutheran Church, 521 Providence Road, Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.hollomon-brown.com.

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to know and help take care of Mr. Jennings. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone in the office. God now has another angel in heaven to watch over us. Bless you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
