Frances Hornbuckle Obituary


Frances L. Hornbuckle FREDERICKSBURG - Frances Landers Hornbuckle, 78, former longtime resident of Chesapeake, died Nov. 26, 2008, in Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. Mrs. Hornbuckle was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Fredericksburg where she served as an elder. She was retired from the Fredericksburg Auto Auction. She was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 875 Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Confederate Ridge Garden Club. Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Hornbuckle; three daughters, Cynthia Dunlo and her husband Jim of Chesapeake, Madlyn Mastin and her husband Danny of Spotsylvania, Melinda Hightower and her husband Jeff of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren, Hunter Dunlo, Danny Mastin, Blair Mastin, Lindsey Hightower and Stephan Hightower; three great-granddaughters, Alden, Ellie and Cameron; sister- in-law, Marjorie Landers of Richmond; special nephew, Jim Ford and his daughters, Beth and Amy; and a niece, Susan Kruse. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in The Presbyterian Church of Fredericksburg with the Rev. Allen H. Fisher Jr. officiating. The family will also receive friends after the service at a reception at the church. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, with the Rev. Thomas L.
