William Anderson Obituary


William M. Anderson SUFFOLK - William Monroe Anderson, 79, passed away Nov. 29, 2008. He was born in Ocoee, Fla., the son of the late Georgia Mae and William Otis Anderson. He was a U.S. veteran having served in the Navy. William was the former owner of Anderson Bonding and founder of Anderson Self Storage. William is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shelvia J. and Roy D. Ruth of Zuni, Va.; sons and daughters-in-law, Marshall L. and Mary C. Anderson of Suffolk, Stephen D. Anderson and Twilla K. Stover-Anderson of Suffolk; grandchildren, Shannah Coe, Ashley C. Ruth-Brinkley, Yance D. Ruth; great-granddaughter, Hailey Ellen Coe; sisters, Ila Mae Long of Suffolk, Alice Hurley of Marion, Ill., and Betty Rippy of Wilson, N.C.; and faithful canine companion, Rusty. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with the Rev. Ruffin Alphin officiating. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
