Uldine Lorraine Nixon VIRGINIA BEACH - Uldine Lorraine Nixon, 79, passed away Oct. 10, 2008. Her wonderful spirit is now free from a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis, which she handled with grace and dignity. She was born and raised in Port Washington, Long Island, N.Y. Mrs. Nixon was like a second mother to me. I moved from France when I was 8 yrs old and we lived next door to the Nixons. I babysat for sweet Sandy. She was the sister I never had. Mrs. Nixon taught me how to cook and care for children. She took my brothers and me to the beach almost every day in the summer. We rode bikes and she packed lunch for us. She gots the knots out of my hair and gave me advice whether or not I wanted it. She will be missed by her family and those that loved her. My prayers and thoughts are with Mr. Nixon, Peter, Sandy, and Bradley.

I will always cherish memories of her. She was a wonderful lady and always was there to listen (when she stopped talking HA!) and help with problems. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Nixon, Peter, Sandy, and Bradley.
