Gerald Caffee Obituary


Gerald Heywood Caffee CHESAPEAKE - Gerald "Jerry" Heywood Caffee, 71, died Dec. 1, 2008. He was a native of Norfolk, a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and the sub safe director for SUPSHIP, Newport News. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech and a member of ASME. Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jo Ann Caffee; two sons, Scott Caffee and his wife Jennifer of Northville, Mich., Mark Caffee and his wife Theresa of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Christopher, Tyler, Peyton, Madison and Ashley; a sister, Jane Skelton and her husband Arden of Chesapeake; a brother, Fred W. Caffee and his wife Sharon of Chesapeake; sister-in-law, Sue Spring of Suffolk; nephew, Joshua; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Rebecca and Leigh M. Caffee. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Aldersgate United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Drinkard with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home or memorial contributions may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
