James Pringle Obituary


James M. Pringle KINSTON - James Moir Pringle, 84, of 3300 block of Quail Ridge Road, passed away Nov. 23, 2008, in his residence with his wife at his side. James was the son of the late Frank and Lillian Pringle formerly of Portsmouth. He was a retired executive from a Virginia mirror company. James was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Pringle, wife Helen and niece, Myrna Goode and Gordon Pringle; sisters, Lillian Frisa and husband Ed, Margaret Cooper and husband Col. Edwin Cooper; and a lifelong friend, James. James is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Pringle of the home; son, James M. Pringle of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Sarah Pringle of Columbus Ga., Todd Pringle of Portsmouth; daughter-in-law, Brenda Pringle of Portsmouth; and sister-in-law, Doris Pringle of Portsmouth; nieces and nephews, Dr. Edwin Cooper Jr. and wife Mary Bryan of Kinston, Claire and David Goodsell, Anne Pringle, Beth Pringle, Eddie and Jane Frisa, Beth Frisa and Randy Rydell, Bill Pringle, Jan Gamage; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and special companions, Angel, Blarney and O'Reilly Pringle. A memorial service will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until noon from Edwards Funeral Home with Dr. Ed Cooper officiating. A private burial will be held at a later time. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pringles' "Charlie Fund" at the Lenoir County SPCA, P.O. Box 1481, Kinston, NC 28503.
