Roscoe Justice Obituary


Roscoe Justice Jr. JARVISBURG - Roscoe Justice Jr., 74, went to be with the Lord Dec. 2, 2008. He was a native of Kermit, W.Va., and a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Roscoe retired as the docking supervisor for NORSHIPCO and was the dockmaster for the Ferry Division of the State of North Carolina. Roscoe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Justice; four children, Patricia Oglesby, Judy Bowman, Roscoe Robert Justice Sr. and wife Ginger and Jack Justice Sr. and wife Sharon; seven grandchildren, Robert and Amy Bowman, Amy and David Fowler, Karen Bowman, Stacy Pittman, Roscoe R. Justice Jr., April and Nathan Huskey and Jack Justice Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Jenna and Megan Bowman, Drew Fowler, Xander and Gabriel Pittman; five sisters; a brother and the Lovins family. He was predeceased by his parents, Gladys and Roscoe Justice Sr.; son-in-law, James Oglesby; and two grandchildren, Lisa Justice and Bert Bowman. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Grandy, N.C., with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. Condolences can be made online at www.lovingfuneralhome.com.
