Bertha Elliott Obituary
Bertha Lee B. Elliott PORTSMOUTH - Bertha L. "Mable" Bremby Elliott, 79, passed away peacefully into eternal rest Dec. 1, 2008, in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth. She was born in Nansemond County to the late William and Ada Bremby. She is survived by her husband, Cornelious Elliott; one son, Carnell Elliott (Joyce) of Chesapeake; two daughters, Alfreda Elliott of Portsmouth and Julie Carter (James) of McDonough, Ga.; one sister, Hazel Jackson (Leroy) of Chesapeake; two brothers, James Bremby (Andrea) of Portsmouth and Clifton Bremby (Hallie) of Suffolk; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Viewing will be held Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. in J.T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N. George Washington Highway, Chesapeake. A life celebration service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Union Missionary Baptist Church, 5132 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, with Bishop C.V. Russell, pastor, officiating.
