Dorothy Steadman Obituary
Dorothy D. Steadman RICHMOND - Dorothy D. Steadman, 86, died peacefully Dec. 2, 2008, after a short illness. Born in Aurora, N.C., she moved to Norfolk when she was four years old and lived most of her life there except for two years in Hawaii, two years in Washington, D.C., and most recently in Richmond for the past 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Brooks Steadman. She is survived by her loving son, Dr. Robert Brooks Steadman and his wife Susan and their children, Charles Brooks Steadman, Robert Grant Steadman and Caroline Frances Steadman, all of Richmond. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 12991 River Road, Richmond, VA 23238. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
