Mildred Beaver

Mildred A. Beaver PORTSMOUTH - Mildred A. Beaver, 80, of the 1300 block of Hodges Ferry Road, passed away Dec. 3, 2008. A native of Statesville, N.C., Mildred was the daughter of James and Lilly Anderson. She was the widow of Earl G. Beaver and retired from the General Electric Company. Mom was one of 13 children. She was predeceased by three sisters and eight brothers. She was also predeceased by her grandchild, Errol Paige Beaver. She is survived by her five sons, Michael Beaver and companion Tona Branch, Roger A. Beaver and wife Bonnie, Toby L. Beaver and wife Debbie, Dale L. Beaver and wife Carol and Randy Beaver and wife Lee; a brother, Howard Anderson; four grandchildren, Jarrod M. Beaver, Adam Beaver and wife Joy, Heather Beaver and husband Johnny and Eric Beaver and wife Selena; four stepgrandchildren, Tracie Osborne, Steve Rodriguez and wife Tammy, Christina Hovestadt and Windy G. Beaver and husband Ron; and five great-grandchildren; and an "adopted" son, Johnny Nixon. The love of her life was her five sons and their families. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
