Donald Galloway Obituary


Donald N. Galloway VIRGINIA BEACH - Donald N. Galloway, 82, passed away Dec. 3, 2008. He was born Aug. 25, 1926, in Clay County, North Carolina, to the late Fred and Minnie Galloway. Donald served his country in the United States Navy and retired as a senior chief petty officer with more than 20 years of service. He loved to play darts and was an avid Braves fan, hardly ever missing a game, and was also a member of the FRA. Donald was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Virginia B. Galloway. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Michael Galloway and wife Donna Marie of Georgia, Donna and husband James and Mary, both of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Christopher and wife Sarah, Amanda, Jason, Cassandra, Austin, Miranda, Michelle and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Kayliana, Paxton and David; brother, Noel Clay Galloway and wife Joyce of North Carolina; and sister, Rose Dale Lamkin, also of North Carolina; and numerous other loving relatives. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. A funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park with full military honors. You may offer condolences to the family at www.mem.com.
