I met Joe in 2006 at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA where he was the "OJT Lead" for the AHLTA/CHCS II project. He was most pleasant, kind, and gentle-spirited. Learning more about his incredible story from others, I admire his heroic actions in Vietnam and cannot image the fortitude to rise above those experiences. His strong spirit and effervescence will be missed by those who love him, but will remain within us forever.
My prayers are with the Clipson and extended families.

Joe Clipson was a true friend and dear colleague. Like Milton, I knew him through the AHLTA project for the military.
He was genuine, warm and kind, he kidded me by saying "My brother from another mother." I will miss him as my Brother and Friend, and will cherish the fact that I came across this wonderful "Spirit" Please extend my sympathies to his family.

Please accept my deepest sympathies in your time of loss. Joe was dearly loved by so many. Although he and I were in the same area in Vietnam, I didn't know Joe until 2005 when we worked together (AHLTA / CHCS-II). I knew him as a consummate gentleman and loving spirit. Working with Joe was truly a blessing for me.
