Margaret Purdin Obituary


Margaret B. Purdin VIRGINIA BEACH - Margaret "Maggie" Benton Purdin, 74, passed away Dec. 7, 2008. Born in Princess Anne County, Maggie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Delbert Purdin; four daughters, Sherry Baier and husband George, Kim Georges and husband Nick, Karen Price Grinnan and Robin Price Newnam and husband David; two sons, Bryan Price and Casey Cobb; seven grandchildren, Tyler Baier, Alexa Georges, Meredith Grinnan, Ashley Cobb, Stratton Georges, Frances Grinnan and John Newnam; two stepdaughters, Debbie Stull and Tracy Darden; three stepsons, George, Eugene and Rodney Purdin; five siblings; loving pet, Gismo; and special niece, Peggy Baines. Maggie will be remembered for her cheesecakes, pool parties and her abundant love for her family. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the residence, 2184 Middleburg Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

Kim,

While I never met your mother, reading about her makes me wish I had. Sounds like you inherited many of her positive traits. This is a time to remember the good times with her and appreciate all the values and knowledge she imparted on you. We’ll say a prayer for your family tonight asking that you receive the strength to get through this process and celebrate the time you had with Mom/Maggie.
