Barbara Garris Obituary
Barbara B. Garris CHESAPEAKE - Barbara B. "Baba" Garris of the 3300 block of Hornsea Road, died Dec. 13, 2008, in a local hospital. She was born in Petersburg, Va., and was the daughter of the late Sterling and Helen Bowles. Barbara was a retired technical school administrator. Barbara is survived by a daughter, Susan Lawren; three grandchildren, Christopher Michael, Kimberly Lynn and Richard Stuart; and one great-grandson, Colin James Lucas, all of Chesapeake. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Terry Riddle. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Lions Club or American Heart Association. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
