Fay Boston Obituary


Fay W. Boston KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Fay White Boston, 62, of Knoxville, and formerly of Norfolk, went to be with the Lord Jan. 12, 2009. Fay was a member of First Baptist Concord and the Choir. She was a graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Va., and received an MFA from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Fay was an accomplished artist, loved to sing, and enjoyed travel; but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family and close friends. Her parents, Bill and Nellie White and sister, Kay White Baker of formerly of Norfolk, preceded Fay in death. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles "Buddy" Boston; daughter, Heather Maree Boston; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Chris DeFranco; grandchildren, Foster, Megan, William and Molly DeFranco; members of Larry Vaughan's Senior Adult Sunday School class and many friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 p.m. today in First Baptist Church Concord with services to follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Nevin Neal officiating. Family and friends will gather at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the East Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
