Maurice Stewart NORFOLK - Maurice Stewart, 47, of the 3200 block of Argonne Ave., passed away Jan. 9, 2009, in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. He was born April 12, 1961, in Cheverly, Md. Maurice received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy. He retired after 22 years of service with the U.S. Navy as a bio medical engineer. He was also employed with Greater Southeast Community Hospital, Washington, D.C. He was predeceased by a son, Rodjamel and stepfather, James O'Neal. He is survived by his wife, Elsie C. Stewart; one daughter, Terri; two sons, Joseph and Tyriee; his parents, Ethel Mae and Martin Luther Stewart; seven sisters, Kathy, Teresa, Debbie, Christine, Jennifer, Johanne and Patricia; five brothers, Martin, Derrick, Anthony, Floyd and Tyrone; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Family and friends will assemble at 3223 Argonne Ave. one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel.
