Hattie Parker Obituary


Hattie E. Parker PORTSMOUTH - Hattie E. Parker, 85, of the 1200 block of Coltrane Drive, died Jan. 10, 2009. She was born in Philadelphia, and retired as a sewing machine operator from Pen Pad Co. after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Tabernacle Church. She is survived by two daughters, Carmen E. Lilly and Victoria L. Gray; one son, Alan E. Hughes; six grandchildren, Aaron Parker, Shonetta Campbell, Kyle Gray, Darrin Lilly, Valiesha Brown and Davonte Carroll; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Tabernacle Church (Parkview United Methodist Church), 1131 Crawford Parkway. Bishop Marcus D. Brown Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held an hour before the service at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 1519 Crystal Lake Drive, Portsmouth, at 10 a.m. for the procession to the church. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge.
