Ruby Revell Obituary


Ruby S. Revell VIRGINIA BEACH - Ruby S. Revell, 83, passed away Jan. 14, 2009. Mrs. Revell was born June 20, 1925, to the late Howard and Bernice Sumrell in Poplar Branch, N.C. She was a longtime member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Ruby met no stranger and loved to help people any way she could. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rita R. Scarberry and husband David; a son, Laurence R. Revell; two sisters, Marjorie Mansfield and June Pell; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. Please share your love and condolences with the family at www.mem.com.
