Trost Family - I remember Sam from my coaching her on the Odessy of the Mind team in 5th grade in Kings Grant, and from her hanging out with my daughter, Jennifer. (We have since moved to Indiana.) I will continue to pray for your family.

Hello to Sam's family,
I have the privilege of knowing you and Sam through St. Baldrick's and my heart was broken when Karen told me of Sam's passing. At last year's event, Melia told me that the cancer was back. I have prayed for Sam and for your family ever since that day. May God be with you as you begin this next stage in your lives. One breath at a time, one foot in front of the other, one day at a time. That is all you can do. I will always have fond memories of Sam. One of my favorite memories is when I watched Sam with her sister and the Swaim sisters dancing during the St. Baldrick's ball a few years back. Tears of joy were streaming down my face as I watched these beautiful young woman dancing and laughing as if they didn't have a care in the world. To anyone watching who did not know their stories, it would have seemed just that way. But for those of us who knew what Sam and Sarah had been through, it was such a beautiful celebration of their lives. I will continue to hold that moment close to my heart and will always remember your sweet girl. You will remain in my prayers. God bless all of you.
Love,
Amy Thorstad

You have all courageously fought this battle with Sam. Her battle is now over so may all of you relish the thoughts of her being received into the heavenly realm of glory! She is truly smiling on all of you now. May God's strong arms comfort you until you see her again. Lots of love, Peggy and LaVerne Lovell
