Rosa Harrison Obituary

Rosa L. Harrison PORTSMOUTH - Rosa L. Harrison, 71, of Dewey Street, died Jan. 22, 2009, in her residence. She was born in Portsmouth and retired from the City of Portsmouth in 2002 as a deputy chief treasurer officer after 28 years of service. She was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by a niece, Bonnie J. Harrison of Inkster, Mich.; nephew, Master Sgt. Linwood L. Harrison (April), stationed in Iraq; three great-nieces, Myra Grant (Shawn) of Chesapeake, Marsha Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., and Rosalind Jones (Rodney) of Williamstown, N.J.; two great-nephews, Algie Harrison of Norfolk and Norman Harrison Jr. of Williamstown, N.J.; six great-great-nieces and -nephews. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church. Bishop Curtis E. Edmonds Sr., pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge.

We remember Aunt Rosa Lee as both calming and comforting. We pray that she has found eternal calmness and comfort as she joins our heavenly Father. We ask God for piece beyond understanding in this time of grief.
