Donald A. Scutchings NORFOLK - Donald A. Scutchings, 43, of the 900 block of Joyce St., passed away Jan. 22, 2009, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was born April 10, 1965, to the late Geraldine Scutchings and John C. Butts. He was educated in the Norfolk and Virginia Beach public school systems. Donald was a member of the Historic First Baptist Church, Bute St., where he was a member of the Adult Singles Fellowship Ministry. He was employed with DoubleTree Hotel as assistant manager of housekeeping. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Norine Bailey; three sisters, Bonita Ball (Robert) of Norfolk, Deborah Scutchings and Monica Scutchings, both of Virginia Beach; one brother, Spencer Scutchings; one foster brother, Anthony Bailey; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, 418 E. Bute St. Dr. Robert G. Murray will officiate. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 7464 Fenner St., one hour prior to the service for the procession to the church.
