Roberta Stecker Obituary

Roberta T. Stecker NORFOLK - Roberta Lee "Bobbie" Mason Haley Thomson Stecker, born May 27, 1921 in Stacey, N.C., to Wiley and Lydia Mason, died Dec. 18, 2008 in Palmetto, Fla. She lived her first 57 years in Beaufort, N.C., then in Norfolk. Survivors include her husband, Claude Stecker; daughter, Gail Lee Thomson Harris; son, John Thomas Haley Jr.; grandchildren, Timothy Harris, Michael Harris, John Haley 3rd and Elizabeth Haley Sweatland; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Harris and John Haley 4th. She was predeceased by a great-grandchild, Colin Sweatland. A memorial service will be held at Sun City Christian Center, Wimauma, Fla., Saturday. She will be laid to rest Monday, Feb. 9, at noon in Riverside Cemetery, Norfolk. She was a wonderful person and truly loved her family.
