Joe was also a mentor of mine when I started out as a Rescue Squad fledgling. Joe was always cool and calm no matter what the disaster was! He would show up out of nowhere when I was getting into a "heavy" call and relief was instant. I have not seen him in many years but I will miss him.

Shannon and Family,
Sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I did not know your dad long, but I know was a very nice man. He put our well down for us, so I talked to him a few times. He sure loved those grand children.

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Munford's passing. I just recently in December had the pleasure of his assistance when I unexpectantly needed a deep well. He was very kind and generous to me during that stressful time. It was a pleasure doing business with him. You all are in my prayers.

Shannon, my thoughts are with you and the family. It was quite a shock to learn of Joe's death. He was still a young man and a well loved member of our neighborhood and Smithfield.

I considered Joe a good friend and teacher. I remember when I first joined the Isle of Wight Rescue Squad. Joe was the one I looked up to and he was always there providing insight. Both professional and personal he was a good friend. Joe will be missed in more ways than one.

Joe was my mentor at Isle of Wight Rescue Squad. I was blessed to be on his crew on Monday nights. Joe precepted me when I achieved ALS status. He was always calm and cool no matter what the situation. I pray for comfort and peace for the family. Shannon and Brandon - You were sooo blessed to have him as a father and I know he will be missed for years to come.

Shannon, I am so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. Whether it is expected or unexpected, the hurt is still the same. I had it both ways with my parents, and I still feel the pain each day. The days ahead will be very hard, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
